Co-Owner Recommended Services

Last updated

Finding a good contractor is a lot easier when a neighbor has already found one. Below are businesses that Woodfield Ridge co-owners have used and recommend. These are individual co-owners' recommendations, not the Association's — please read how this list works before you call anyone.

How this list works — please read
  • The recommendations here come from individual co-owners, not from the Association. The Board does not endorse or guarantee anyone on this list. Where a listing notes that a business has done work for the Association, that is a statement of fact about past work — it is not a Board endorsement, and it is not a promise about how your own job will go.
  • The Board is not responsible for pricing, availability, response time, scheduling, or the quality of any work.
  • You must contact the business yourself — the Board does not arrange, schedule, or oversee work on your unit.
  • Please do your own research before you hire anyone. The Association has not verified licensing, insurance, bonding, or references for any business on this list. You can check a Michigan license yourself through the state's Find or Verify a Licensed Professional lookup.
  • Any agreement or dispute is strictly between you and that business. The Association and the Board are not a party to it and cannot be held responsible for it, including work that goes wrong, is left unfinished, or is billed differently than quoted.
  • The Association receives no payment — no commission, referral fee, or discount — from anyone on this list.
  • This information may be out of date. Phone numbers, ownership, pricing, and service areas change. Some of these recommendations go back several years. Always confirm details directly with the business.
  • To add, correct, or remove a listing, email woodfieldridge@gmail.com. Any co-owner or business may ask to have a listing taken down, and we will remove it.
⚠ Exterior changes need Board approval before work starts

Under the Bylaws, modifications to the outside of your unit require an approved Request for Modification. Please submit that through Submit a Request before scheduling a contractor.

Can you help fill a gap?

Nobody has recommended anyone yet for a plumber — especially one that takes emergency and after-hours calls, or for heating & cooling, roofing, appliance repair, pest control, or garage doors. If you have used someone good, please pass the name along so the next neighbor isn't searching at midnight.

Before you hire — a short checklist
  • Get a written estimate before any work begins, and keep a copy.
  • Ask for proof of insurance, and verify the license for licensed trades such as plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building.
  • Be cautious about large deposits paid up front.
  • For exterior work, get your Request for Modification approved first.
  • When the job is done, let the Board know how it went — good or bad. That is how this list stays useful.

The Master Deed and Bylaws are the official governing rules and always take precedence over anything on this page.
