Moving In

1. Set up your Association dues

Contact the Treasurer to start your quarterly dues on automatic payment (ACH) before your first billing cycle to avoid late fees. See the Dues & Fees page, or email woodfieldridge@gmail.com. For your safety, never email your bank or routing number — the Treasurer sets that up with you directly.

2. Turn on your utilities

Call a few days before you move so there's no gap in service — and ask them to change the billing name into yours rather than shut the service off.

• Water & sewer — Charter Township of Grand Blanc, (810) 424‑2600.
• Electricity & natural gas — Consumers Energy, 1‑800‑477‑5050. (Check a current bill to confirm your provider.)
• Trash & recycling — already included in your dues; no setup needed (curbside every Wednesday). Details on Dues & Fees.

3. Change your address

File a change of address with the U.S. Postal Service at usps.com, then update your banks, employer, insurance, and subscriptions.

4. Update your driver's license & voter registration

Change the address on your license and register to vote at the Michigan Secretary of State — online or in person at michigan.gov/sos. Remember, we vote in Holly, not Grand Blanc (more on the Area & Emergency Info page).

5. File your Michigan property-tax paperwork

As the new owner, two forms go to your local assessor — the Holly Township Assessor (we're in Oakland County):

• Property Transfer Affidavit — required whenever a property changes hands.
• Principal Residence Exemption (PRE) — if this is your primary home, this exempts you from a portion of school taxes.

Call the Holly Township offices first (they may ask for a copy of your deed): 102 Civic Drive, Holly, MI 48442.

6. Save the important local info
